Custom Cube Sauna — 8 Person

A cube gives you the most usable bench for the ground it occupies. Straight walls mean the benches run the full length on both tiers, with no curve eating into the corners, and the flat roof sits comfortably against a wall or a fence line.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size heater does a 8 person cube sauna need?
18kW is the minimum we recommend, and that comes from the internal volume of 17.2 cubic metres rather than the seat count. You can fit a larger heater if you want the room up to temperature faster.
Can I run this on a single-phase supply?
No. Anything above 9kW is three-phase only, and this cabin needs at least 18kW. If your property is single-phase you would need to arrange a three-phase connection with your provider, or choose a smaller cabin. We would rather tell you now than after delivery.
What electrical work does it need, and do you do it?
We install the sauna. We do not do the electrical wiring. With the minimum 18kW heater the load is 27.3A at 380V, calling for a 40A breaker and 10mm² THW copper cable run to an isolator beside the sauna. You receive the full specification for your electrician, and we assist them on the day of installation. In Bangkok and Chonburi we can arrange the electrical work for you.
Will 8 people actually fit?
8 adults fit seated across l-shaped benches along two walls, two tiers, within a 3924 x 2124mm internal floor. About 4 can lie down. If you want more room than that, look at the next size up.
How does it arrive, and what do I need on delivery day?
It arrives in a sealed timber crate weighing 1030 to 1180kg, with the wall sections already built. Getting the crate off the truck is your responsibility, so arrange a forklift, a small crane or enough hands before the delivery date. Check that your gate and access path are wider than the crate.
How long does assembly take?
One to two days for two people with basic hand tools. You are joining finished panels rather than building them. Heater wiring is the exception and must be done by a licensed electrician.
Can it go outside in the rain?
Yes. It ships with a waterproof membrane and shingled roof, and the 38mm walls are built for outdoor placement. It needs a level base that drains, and it will last considerably longer if you let it dry out between sessions.
How long from order to delivery?
8 to 12 weeks of production from order confirmation, plus delivery time. Every cabin is built to your specification, so nothing is pulled off a shelf. Weather and freight conditions can move that, and we tell you if it changes.

About this sauna

Overview

The internal cabin measures 3924 x 2124 x 2060mm, which is 17.2 cubic metres of air. That figure decides the heater, not the seat count. A room this size takes a 18kW heater as a minimum, three-phase only, on a dedicated 40A breaker. Check what your property has before you order, not after the crate arrives.

Walls are 38mm solid timber. Thickness is the difference between a sauna that holds heat and one that leaks it. Thinner cabins reach temperature faster and lose it just as quickly, which shows up on your electricity bill every session rather than once at purchase.

L-shaped benches along two walls, two tiers. Upper bench sits at 900mm, lower at 450mm, so you get a real temperature choice inside one room. The air at the upper bench runs noticeably hotter.

Straight sides make it the easiest shape to place tight against a boundary or an existing structure.

The sauna is delivered in a sealed timber crate weighing 1030 to 1180kg, with the wall sections built and finished at the factory. Two people with basic tools stand it up in one to two days.

Every cabin is built to your order. Nothing is sitting in a warehouse, which is why you choose the timber, the door position, the glass and the bench layout rather than taking what was made six months ago.

  • Seats 8 on l-shaped benches along two walls, two tiers, upper at 900mm and lower at 450mm

The heater and its control panel are chosen separately, because the right heater depends on your power supply as much as the room size. For this cabin 18kW is the lowest we recommend. A larger heater brings the room up to temperature faster, which is worth it if you run several sessions in an evening.

  • Soft Bristle Scrubbing Brush
  • Timber Treatment Oil 250ml
  • Eucalyptus Löyly Oil 100ml
Delivery

Every sauna is built to your order. Production runs 8 to 12 weeks from the date your order is confirmed, then delivery on top. Timber is a natural material and shipping is a global business, so weather and freight conditions can move that. We tell you if your build shifts rather than letting the date pass quietly.

Delivery is included anywhere in Thailand. International shipping is quoted separately.

YOUR SAUNA ARRIVES IN A CRATE, AND YOU UNLOAD IT

The sauna ships in a sealed timber crate to protect the panels in transit. It is heavy. Crate weight and dimensions are listed in the specifications, and you should read them before you order.

Getting the crate off the truck is your responsibility. The driver is not equipped to lift it. Arrange a forklift, a small crane, or enough people, and have them there on the agreed delivery day. This is the most common cause of a failed delivery, and a failed delivery carries a fee.

Check the access route before you order. The usual problem is a gate or side passage narrower than the crate. Send us a photo of the approach and we will tell you whether it works.

INSTALLATION

Installation is not included and is priced by region, because that is what it costs to get a crew and a vehicle to you:

Central Thailand, from 15,000 THB
Southern Isaan, from 20,000 THB
Northern, Eastern and Western Thailand, from 25,000 THB
Northern Isaan and Southern Thailand, from 35,000 THB
Islands excluding Phuket, from 40,000 THB

You do not have to take it. Many customers stand the cabin up themselves.

ELECTRICAL WORK

We will install your sauna. We do not do the electrical wiring.

You will receive the full electrical specification for your cabin and heater, so your qualified electrician knows the load, the voltage, the current, the cable size and the breaker before they arrive. We will assist your electrician on the day of installation.

In Bangkok and Chonburi we can arrange the electrical work for you. Everywhere else in Thailand you will need to appoint your own licensed electrician.

Installation

The wall sections are built and finished at the factory, then crated. On site you are joining finished panels, not building them. Two people with basic hand tools have it standing in one to two days.

No specialist tools, no cutting, no finishing work. The printed manual and our video guides take you through it, and we are on the end of a phone, a chat or a video call while you work. That is included, with no time limit.

The cabin needs a level, load-bearing base that drains. Concrete, paving or a properly built timber deck all work. It does not need to be a slab, but it does need to be flat.

Heater wiring is the exception. That must be done by a licensed electrician, for the reasons set out under Delivery & Installation.

Timber options
Thermo Pine

Heat-treated Scandinavian pine. The treatment drives out resin and moisture, which is why it stays stable in Thai humidity rather than warping through a wet season. Pale, even and understated. The standard build, and a perfectly good sauna.

Japanese Cedar

Sugi cedar. Warm golden tone, naturally aromatic, and lighter in colour and weight than the western cedars. A softer look than pine without the price of red cedar.

Red Cedar

The benchmark sauna timber. Rich reddish tone, deeply aromatic when hot, and naturally resistant to moisture and decay. It also has a low thermal conductivity, so the bench surface stays comfortable to sit on at temperatures where other timbers do not.

Warranty

If an electrical item stops working within the warranty period, we’ll send you a replacement free of charge.

Structure and timber: 2 years
Walls, frame, benches, door and roof. If something fails we send a replacement part, or we come and repair it.

Electrical components: 1 year, by replacement
Heater, control panel, lighting and sensors. A failed unit is replaced rather than repaired, so you are not left without a sauna while something is sent away. The warranty covers the part. It does not cover rewiring or reinstallation.

Glass and hardware: 1 year
Tempered glass panels, hinges, handles and fixings.

Claims are handled in Thailand by our own team. There is no importer to go through and no overseas parts wait.

In practice we rarely use it. The cabins are heavily built and the electrical components are ones we have used for years and know well. Failures inside the warranty period are uncommon.

Looked after, a RonYen sauna and its equipment should give you 10 to 15 years of use, and often longer.

What is not covered: damage from misuse, modification, improper installation, lack of maintenance, or normal wear such as timber colour change with age. Timber darkens and moves. That is what timber does, and it is not a fault.

Care & Maintenance

After each session: prop the door open and let the cabin dry. This single habit does more for the life of a sauna than anything else on this list.

Weekly: wipe the benches with warm water and a soft cloth. No detergent, no bleach. Sauna timber is left unsealed on purpose so it can breathe and absorb moisture.

Monthly: check the heater stones. Stones break down with heat cycling. Restack them so air can move between them, and replace any that have cracked.

Yearly: inspect the roof shingles and the door seal, and check that fixings are still tight. Timber moves through a Thai wet season and a bolt that was tight in January may not be in September.

Exterior timber can be oiled if you want to hold the colour. Left alone it weathers to a silver grey, which is a finish rather than a fault.

Everything you want to know about saunas & heaters

Outdoor and indoor cabins, barrels, cylinders and sauna + shower combos — from a compact one-person unit up to ten-person commercial rooms, all customisable to your space. Browse saunas.

Western Red Cedar and Finnish Thermo Pine both handle heat and humidity beautifully; Hinoki is our premium pick. We’ll match the timber to your budget and location.

Outdoor saunas are fully weather-sealed for gardens, rooftops and pool decks; indoor models are built for bathrooms, gyms and spare rooms. Both use indoor-rated electric heaters.

Most home saunas run on a dedicated single- or three-phase circuit sized to the heater. We’ll confirm the exact electrical requirement in your quote.

Both are food-grade and corrosion-resistant; 316 adds extra protection for coastal and chlorinated environments. We recommend the right grade for your site. See ice baths.

Ice works to get started, but a chiller holds a precise temperature day after day with no effort — the easiest way to make cold therapy a daily habit.

Our chillers take the water down to around 3°C and hold it there. Most people plunge between 3–10°C depending on experience.

A built-in filtration and sanitation cycle keeps the water fresh for weeks. We’ll walk you through simple water care at handover.

We’re open now in Chonburi, Thursday to Sunday, with Founding Member pricing until 30 September. The full experience opens 4 September — book ahead to be sure of a spot. Book a visit.

The Garden runs on advance bookings so every session has the space to itself — so book ahead if you can. That said, if you're passing and spot us, scan the sign at the gate or give us a call, and if there's room in the current session we'll happily wave you in.

Saunas, ice baths, a swimming pool and shaded lounge areas — everything you need for the full hot-and-cold circuit. Explore the garden.

The Wellness Garden is in Chonburi, easily reached from Bangkok and Pattaya. Full directions and parking details are on the garden page.

Yes — most saunas assemble in a day with two or three people and clear instructions. Prefer it done for you? Our team can handle the full install. Installation service.

Delivery to the spot, full assembly, levelling, heater fitting and a handover walkthrough so it’s ready to use the same day.

A firm, level base — a concrete pad, deck or paved area — plus a nearby power point. We’ll send a simple prep checklist before delivery.

Final connection should be made by a licensed electrician. We provide the full specification and can recommend trusted local contractors.

Yes — we deliver right across Thailand by freight, and ship internationally on request. Delivery details.

Most saunas are ready eight to ten weeks from order. Once built, freight to your address typically takes a few days, with tracking provided.

Standard nationwide delivery is included. For tricky access — rooftops, tight lanes or upper floors — we’ll quote any crane or extra handling up front.

Everything ships in a purpose-built timber crate to protect the timber and glass in transit — and the crate is easy to dispose of or repurpose.
