It suits baths up to 600 litres outdoors in the shade, or up to 750 litres indoors in an air-conditioned room. Outdoors, warm air heats the bath while the chiller is cooling it, and the chiller sheds its own heat less easily into hot air, so the same unit looks after less water outside than in.
For a bigger bath, or one that sits in the heat all day, the 1.5HP gives 63% more cooling in the same cabinet.
It is rated T3 for tropical climates. It heats as well as cools, keeps the water clean with filters and ozone, and you set it on the touchscreen or from your phone.
Every chiller ships fully assembled in a timber crate. We deliver to the kerb or ground floor.
Plan for two people to move it into place. The weight is in the specifications. Once it is on a flat surface it rolls on its wheels.
If it is going upstairs, onto a roof, or through a narrow gate, a lift or a tight lane, tell us when you order so we can plan the lift.
The chiller arrives ready to run. It sits beside the bath, not inside it, and it is not plumbed into the house.
Wheels
The 1.0HP and 1.5HP ship with their four wheels packed separately. Fit them first, using the sixteen cap nuts and the tool in the box. The 2.0HP arrives with its wheels fitted.
Position
Stand it upright on a level surface beside the bath. Leave about 500 mm clear behind and to each side so the fan can move air.
Keep it out of direct afternoon sun where you can. A chiller that pulls its own hot exhaust back in works harder and holds temperature less well. It is splash-rated, but shade, cover and airflow do more for its performance and its lifespan than anything else you control.
Plumbing
Two 1/2 inch connections, an inlet and an outlet, join to the bath with the two hoses supplied. Our baths use the same 1/2 inch fitting, so nothing needs adapting. The pre-filter and its joint are in the box, and the user manual shows where they fit. Wrap threaded fittings with the waterproof tape supplied.
Water runs from the bath, through the chiller, and back.
Electrical
The chiller comes with a Thai three-pin plug. Plug it into an earthed socket on its own circuit. Do not share that circuit with lighting, a pump or a second chiller.
Supply: 220–240 V single phase, 50 Hz
Breaker: 16 A Type C MCB
Protection: 30 mA RCBO on that circuit
Cable: 2.5 mm²
Outdoors: a weatherproof socket
A Type C breaker matters. The compressor draws a surge on start-up that trips a standard Type B breaker, and a shared circuit will trip reliably.
If there is no suitable socket where the chiller will stand, have a licensed electrician install one before delivery. Electrical work is not included in the price.
Running it
Set the temperature and leave it. The chiller holds the water there. The first cool-down from tap water takes the longest: a bath at the top of the chiller's range, filled in the evening, is usually cold by the next morning.
If an electrical item stops working within the warranty period, we’ll send you a replacement free of charge.
16 months against defects in materials and workmanship. If an electrical fault stops the chiller working inside that period, we send a replacement free of charge.
The warranty does not cover damage from incorrect installation, running the chiller without water, or skipped maintenance.
Rinse the filter cartridges every 2 to 4 weeks, depending on use. The housing unscrews with the filter wrench supplied. A spare cartridge is in the box. Replace a cartridge when rinsing no longer brings it clean.
Check and rinse the pre-filter at the same time.
Change the bath water every 4 to 6 weeks at home, or sooner in a commercial setting or if the water turns cloudy. The ozone system cuts down on chemicals but does not replace water changes.
Keep leaves and dust off the fan grille, especially outdoors.
Never run the chiller without water flowing through it. Running it dry damages the pump.
Before storing it or moving it any distance, drain the water from the chiller and the hoses.
Wipe the panels with a damp cloth. No abrasive cleaners, and do not spray water at the screen.
Stock items can be returned within 7 days of delivery in resalable condition. Custom and made to order items cannot be returned once production has begun. Faulty goods are repaired, replaced or refunded at our cost.
