Frequently Asked Questions
Does this come with a chiller?
The tub and chiller are sold separately so you can choose the right chiller for your needs. Select from Standard (1.0HP or 2.0HP), Mid-Range (1.0HP or 2.0HP), or Premium (2.0HP) options during checkout.
Can I use it without a chiller?
Yes. Fill with water and add ice manually. Without a chiller, you'll need to change the water after each session and add fresh ice each time.
What's the difference between the Black Sleek and the Silver Sleek?
Same tub, different finish. The Black Sleek has a matte black exterior coating. The Silver Sleek has a natural brushed stainless steel look. Both use the same 304 stainless steel interior. Choose based on which suits your space.
Will the black coating fade or peel?
The coating is designed for long-term durability. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the exterior — a soft cloth and mild detergent is all you need to maintain the matte finish.
How cold can it get with a chiller?
Down to 3°C. Most users find 5–10°C optimal for cold therapy benefits.
How long to cool down from room temperature?
First fill takes 12–24 hours depending on ambient temperature. Once cold, the insulation and lid maintain temperature efficiently between sessions.
How heavy is it when full?
Approximately 1,210kg. Ground-level installation on a solid concrete base is recommended. For upper floors, consult a structural engineer before purchase.
What's included in the box?
The ice bath tub with lid, 2 hoses, 2 spare filters, filter wrench, 2 rubber seals, and user manual. Chiller unit ordered separately.
What's the warranty?
1 year covering electrical components and structural defects. Does not cover damage from improper installation, power surges, or cosmetic wear.

Delivery

#### Delivery
Free delivery anywhere in Thailand.

#### Installation
1. Position the unit on a flat, level surface near a power outlet
2. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit for heat dissipation
3. Fill with clean water to the indicated line
4. Plug into a grounded 220V outlet
5. Power on and set the target temperature via the control panel or app

Note: Unit requires approximately 50cm clearance on all sides for airflow. Indoor installation is recommended for optimal performance and longevity.

Installation

The bath arrives assembled with the chiller already built in and plumbed. There is
no build and no separate unit to connect.

Base
A flat, level, load-bearing base. The chiller is inside the shell, so the whole
thing wants to sit level for the circulation to work properly as well as for the
waterline to look right.

Allow clear space around the vents. An all-in-one still has to move air, and a
bath pushed hard against a wall on the vent side will run warmer and work harder.

Electrical
This is the one thing an all-in-one does need. The built-in chiller requires its
own dedicated circuit.

Supply 220-240 V single phase, 50 Hz
Breaker Type C MCB, sized to the unit
Protection Individual 30 mA RCBO

A Type C breaker matters. The compressor draws a brief surge on start-up that trips
a standard Type B. Do not share the circuit with lighting, a pump or a second bath.

Terminate in a weatherproof, IP-rated outlet or enclosure with an isolating switch
within sight for servicing. Electrical work is to be done by a licensed Thai
electrician and is not included. Have the supply installed and tested before
delivery.

Plumbing
No fixed plumbing. A drain fitting for emptying, and the chiller circulation is
internal. Fill from a garden hose.

Weight when full
Water is a kilogram a litre, plus the shell, plus the chiller, plus the person.
An all-in-one is heavier than a bath and chiller bought separately because it is
one object. On any suspended floor, get the structure checked before delivery.

Access
Measure the route in. An all-in-one cannot be split into a bath and a chiller to
get it through a gate, which is the trade-off for it arriving ready to run.

Professional installation is available across Thailand as an optional add-on.

Warranty

If an electrical item stops working within the warranty period, we’ll send you a replacement free of charge.

Electrical Components: 1 year coverage. Replacement unit delivered to your location.

Structural: 1 year coverage.

(Coverage excludes normal wear, unauthorised modifications, or accidental damage.)

Care & Maintenance

## Ice Bath Care & Maintenance
Your RonYen ice bath is built to last with minimal upkeep. A simple routine keeps the water fresh, the equipment running efficiently, and your cold plunge experience at its best. Whether you're using an integrated chiller system or adding ice manually, these steps will help you get the most out of your investment.

The key to low-maintenance ownership is consistency. A few minutes after each session and a short weekly check prevents the kind of buildup that leads to bigger jobs down the track.

### After Every Session
- Shower before entering. Body oils, sunscreen, sweat, and lotions are the number one cause of cloudy water and filter clogging. A quick rinse before you plunge makes a significant difference to water quality.
- Replace the insulated lid immediately. This maintains water temperature, reduces energy consumption on chiller units, and keeps debris, insects, and leaves out of the water.
- Wipe down the rim and any exposed surfaces with a clean cloth to prevent waterline buildup.
- Remove any visible debris from the water with a small skimmer net.

### Weekly Routine
- Check water clarity and smell. Clean water should be clear with no odour. If cloudy or smelly, change the water regardless of when you last filled it.
- Clean or rinse the filter element (chiller models). Remove the cartridge and rinse under running water — takes under two minutes and keeps circulation at full flow.
- Wipe the waterline around the interior with a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge. Mild dish soap or diluted white vinegar is all you need.
- Test water quality if you're using sanitising tablets or water treatment products. Simple test strips from pool supply shops give a quick read on pH and sanitiser levels.

### Fortnightly (Chiller Models)
- Check the ozone generator is functioning. Most units have an indicator light — if it's off or flashing, consult your user manual or contact us.
- Inspect hose connections between the chiller and tub for leaks or loosening. Tighten fittings by hand — don't overtighten.
- Clean the chiller's air intake and exhaust vents. Dust and insects accumulate quickly in Thailand's climate. Wipe or vacuum the vents to maintain airflow and cooling efficiency.

### Monthly Routine
- Deep clean the interior. Drain completely, wipe all interior surfaces with a mild cleaning solution, and rinse thoroughly before refilling. For stainless steel, use a dedicated stainless steel cleaner. For composite or timber, use only approved products for that material.
- Replace the filter cartridge if showing wear, discolouration, or reduced flow even after rinsing. Most filters last 2–3 months depending on usage.
- Inspect the drain valve and plug for signs of wear or slow leaking. Replace seals if needed.
- Timber exteriors: Check for cracking, splitting, or discolouration. Apply recommended timber treatment oil if the wood appears dry. Thailand's UV and humidity accelerate timber aging.

### Water Change Schedule
- With chiller, ozone, and filtration: Change every 2–4 weeks depending on usage. Heavy daily use or multiple users requires more frequent changes.
- Without a chiller (manual ice): Change after every session, or at minimum every 2–3 days. Standing water without sanitation becomes a breeding ground for bacteria in Thailand's warm climate.
- Always use clean tap water. If your supply has high mineral content, consider a basic inline filter on your garden hose to reduce calcium buildup.

### Seasonal Tips for Thailand
- Hot season (March–May): Expect longer cooling times and higher energy use. Ensure good ventilation around the chiller and keep it out of direct sunlight.
- Rainy season: Outdoor tubs need more frequent cleaning. Check for debris buildup and ensure the area around the base has adequate drainage.

### What to Avoid
- No bleach, pool chlorine, or harsh chemicals. These damage interior surfaces, seals, and chiller components. Use products designed for small cold plunge systems, or ask us for recommendations.
- Never leave the tub uncovered. Uncovered water in Thailand attracts mosquitoes and debris rapidly.
- Don't run the chiller without adequate water level. The pump must be fully submerged. Running dry damages the pump and voids your warranty.
- Don't pressure wash timber exteriors. High pressure forces water into the grain and causes splitting. A gentle hose and wipe is sufficient.

### Chiller Maintenance
- Keep the unit on a level, stable surface with at least 30cm clearance on all sides for airflow.
- Visually check refrigerant lines for damage or wear. Do not attempt refrigerant repairs yourself — contact us or a qualified technician.
- The compressor and fan are sealed units requiring no user maintenance. If you hear unusual noises, frequent cycling, or the unit isn't reaching target temperature, contact support.
- Clean the condenser coils every 3–6 months by gently brushing off dust and debris. This is the single most impactful task for chiller longevity and efficiency.

### When to Contact Us
- Water not reaching target temperature despite clean filters and vents
- Unusual noises from the chiller or pump
- Error codes on the digital controller
- Ozone generator not activating
- Any leaks from the tub, fittings, or chiller unit
- Visible damage to the interior surface
- Questions about replacement parts or filter cartridges

### Warranty Reminder
Regular maintenance as outlined above is a condition of your warranty. Keep a simple log of water changes and filter replacements — this protects you in the unlikely event of a warranty claim and helps us diagnose issues faster.

Terms & Conditions

Built to order
Every bath is made after the order is placed. Because nothing is built until you
order it, made-to-order baths cannot be returned or exchanged for change of mind.
Anything faulty is covered under warranty.

Deposit and balance
A deposit confirms the order and starts production. The balance falls due before
dispatch. Your quote states both figures.

Prices
Quoted prices hold for 30 days. They include 7% VAT and delivery within Thailand.
They exclude electrical work, structural certification, crane hire and any site
preparation.

Site readiness
The base, the access route and the power supply are the customer's responsibility
and need to be ready on the delivery date. Where a bath is going onto a roof, a
balcony, a deck or any suspended floor, written structural sign-off is required
before delivery.

Changes
Specification changes are possible before production starts. Once the build is
under way a change may not be possible, and where it is, it may carry a cost.

Colour and grain
Timber is a natural material. Colour, grain and figure vary between boards and
between baths, and timber left outdoors changes colour over time. Photographs are
representative rather than exact.

Common questions

Everything you want to know about saunas & heaters

Outdoor and indoor cabins, barrels, cylinders, cube and modern designs, plus sauna-and-shower combos — from a compact one-person unit up to fourteen-person commercial rooms. Every model is made to order and customisable to your space. Browse saunas.

Red Cedar and Finnish Thermo Pine both handle heat and humidity beautifully — cedar for its aroma and natural rot resistance, thermo pine for its stability in wet conditions. Japanese Hinoki is our premium pick. Canadian Hemlock is excellent value for indoor cabins. We’ll match the timber to your budget, look and location.

Outdoor saunas are fully weather-sealed for gardens, rooftops and pool decks. Indoor models are built for bathrooms, gyms and spare rooms. Both use the same indoor-rated electric stone heaters — the difference is the exterior cladding and weatherproofing.

It depends on the internal volume of the cabin. As a guide: 4.5kW for 3–6 m³, 6kW for 5–8 m³, 9kW for 8–11 m³, 12kW for 11–15 m³, 15kW for 13–18 m³ and 18kW for 15–20 m³. Above 20 m³ takes two heaters. Up to and including 9kW runs on single phase; above that is three phase only, which in practice means anything from a six-person cabin upwards. We confirm the exact requirement in your quote so your electrician knows precisely what to install.

Both are food-grade and corrosion-resistant. 316 adds extra protection for coastal air and chlorinated water, so it’s the safer choice near the sea or beside a pool. 304 is excellent value everywhere else. We’ll recommend the right grade for your site. See ice baths.

Ice works to get started, but it melts fast in Thailand and gets expensive. A chiller holds a precise temperature day after day with no effort — it’s the easiest way to make cold therapy a daily habit rather than an occasional event.

Our chillers run from 0°C to 42°C, so the same unit chills in the hot season and heats in the cool one. Most people plunge between 3°C and 10°C. Beginners usually start around 12–15°C and work down over a few weeks.

Our chillers include filtration and ozone sanitation that keep the water fresh for weeks between changes. We walk you through simple water care at handover — it’s far less work than a pool.
